MOS sells its products to wholesale distributors, retail chains, farmers, cooperatives, independent retailers, and national accounts. The huge increase in food consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic has benefited the fertilizer industry, resulting in record net sales last year. However, the high demand for fertilizers to obtain good crop yields had led to a shortage in the supply of potash and phosphate, two main components used in the production of fertilizers, leading to an increase in their prices.
