Investing.com – The Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange closed lower Thursday; sector losses, and, drove indices lower. At the close in Saudi Arabia, the drop fell 0.66%. The best performers of the session on the was Al Samaani Factory Metal Industries Co CJSC (SE :), which rose 9.94% or 31.60 points to trade at 349.40 at the close. They are followed by Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE :), which advanced 9.93%, or 14.00 points, to close at 155.00, and Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE :), which rose 9.91%, or 1.600 points, ending the session at 17,740. The worst results of the session were Saudi Cable Company (SE :), which fell 5.19%, or 1.75 points, to settle at 31.95 at the close. Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE :), fell 4.89%, 2.20 points, to close at 42.80 and Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE 🙂 fell 4.72%, 0.80 points, ending at 16.14. The declining shares outnumbered those that were advancing on the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange by 100 to 92 and 12 ended unchanged. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE 🙂 shares rose to 3-year highs; increasing 9.91% or 1,600 to 17,740. Crude oil for March delivery rose 0.72%, 0.44, to $ 61.58 a barrel. In the rest of the commodity trade, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.47% or 0.30 to reach $ 64.64 a barrel, while the April gold futures contract was up 0, 39% or 6.85 to trade at $ 1,779.65 a troy ounce. EUR / SAR was up 0.34% to 4.5299, while USD / SAR was up 0.01% to 3.7507. The US dollar futures index was down 0.31% to 90.668.
