Investing.com – The Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange closed higher on Wednesday; sector gains, and drove indices higher. At the close for Saudi Arabia, 0.34% added to hit a new 52-week high. The best performers of the session on the was Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE :), which rose 9.98% or 2.41 points to trade at 26.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Omran Industrial & Trading Co (SE :), advanced 9.95%, or 11.00 points, to close at 121.60, and Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE :), rose 9.83% , 9.70 points, until dismissing the session at 108.40. The worst performers for the session were Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE :), which fell 3.88%, or 2.70 points, to 66.80 at the close. SABB Takaful (SE :), for its part, cut 2.13%, or 0.65 points, to close at 29.85 and Tabuk Cement Co. (SE 🙂 fell 1.97%, or 0.36 points, until ending at 17.94. Rising shares outnumbered those that fell on the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange by 100 to 86 and 17 ended unchanged. Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE 🙂 shares rose to 52-week highs; increasing 9.98% or 2.41 to 26.55. Al Omran Industrial & Trading Co (SE 🙂 shares rose to record highs; up to 9.95% or from 11.00 to 121.60. Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE 🙂 shares rose to 5-year highs; increasing 9.83% or 9.70 to 108.40. Crude oil for February delivery rose 0.11% or 0.06 to $ 53.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in the commodity trade, Brent oil for March delivery fell 0.16% or 0.09 to $ 56.49 a barrel, while the February gold futures contract was up 0.82%. or 15.05 to trade at $ 1,859.25 a troy ounce. The EUR / SAR was down 0.28% to 4.5660, while the USD / SAR was up 0.00% to 3.7517. US Dollar Index futures were up 0.18% to 90.227.
