Investing.com – Israel Stock Exchange closed higher Thursday; gains in, and sectors drove indices higher. At the close in Tel Aviv, it gained 0.50% to hit a new 6-month high. The best performer of the session on the was Nova (TASE :), with a rise of 6.83%, or 1640 points, to settle at 25660 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE :), advanced 3.49%, 311 points, to close at 9216, and Ormat Technologies (TASE 🙂 rose 3.28%, 1130 points, to end the session at 35630. The worst performer of the session was Electra Ltd (TASE :), which fell 3.21% or 5700 points, to trade at 172030 at the close. Harel (TASE 🙂 was down 2.56% or 80 points to end at 3040 and Airport City Ltd (TASE 🙂 was down 2.50% or 131 points to 5099. Falling stocks outnumbered those advancing by the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange for 229-199 and 21 ended unchanged. Nova (TASE 🙂 shares rose to all-time highs; gaining 6.83% or 1640-25660. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE 🙂 shares rose to 52-week highs; up 3.49% or 311 to 9216. Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $ 52.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in the commodity trade, Brent oil for March delivery fell 0.61% or 0.34 to $ 55.72 a barrel, while the February gold futures contract fell 0.34% or 6.30 to trade at $ 1,848.60 a troy ounce. USD / ILS was up 1.94% to 3.1866, while EUR / ILS was up 1.86% to 3.8712. US dollar index futures fell 0.11% to 90.235.
