WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Republican-controlled US House of Representatives will not seek to repeal Obamacare taxes as part of the expected tax reform legislation, the top House Republican on tax policy said on Monday.

“We never imagined including Obamacare taxes in that (reform) effort, and we still haven’t,” House Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady told reporters.

Obamacare taxes “disappear when we repeal and replace them. And sadly, they remain in place,” Brady said.
