PARIS (Reuters) – Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Thursday that a 6% growth forecast for France’s economy in 2021 was still within reach and that he was confident of a strong recovery by the end of the year. “I’m really pretty sure the second half of 2021 will be good for the French economy,” Le Maire said in an interview at the Reuters Next conference. But he warned: “We have to remain humble and cautious because the virus has deceived us many times.” The minister said he was not concerned about the initially slow launch of the COVID-19 vaccine in France.
