(Corrects a typo in the headline) BANGKOK (Reuters) – A burned three-story house collapsed on the outskirts of the Thai capital Bangkok on Saturday, killing at least five people, media said and showed images shared with Reuters. The building caught fire on Saturday morning and was shut down about an hour later, media reports said. The cause of the fire is unknown. Video shared with Reuters showed the charred and blackened building collapsing amid a cloud of smoke and concrete dust, without a firefighter climbing a ladder on the perimeter wall to take a closer look and escaping the falling debris. . “I heard the sound of something breaking and the whole building collapsed in a split second,” a firefighter who filmed and posted the video on his Facebook account (NASDAQ 🙂 told Reuters. “The rescue team was told to leave the building because the structure seemed weak,” he added. At least five people were killed, including a resident and four rescuers, the media said. The search for survivors was suspended for the night.
