Actor, writer, and rapper Donald Glover has agreed to a multi-year, eight-figure production deal with Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, + 1.21%, according to the Hollywood Reporter, out of a deal with Walt Disney Co. DIS, +0.05% FX proprietary. The deal reportedly includes a content channel on the Amazon Prime Video hub that will highlight Glover’s work, as well as selected selections.

The Amazon deal will reportedly not affect his work on the acclaimed FX series “Atlanta,” for which Glover won an Emmy Award in 2017. Two more seasons. of “Atlanta” is scheduled to go into production this year. Last week, Glover announced that he was doing a “Mr. & Mrs. Smith ”with Amazon, co-starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, due to expire in 2022. The Hollywood Reporter said Stephen Glover, Donald’s brother and co-writer and producer of“ Atlanta, ”signed a deal with Amazon as well. He added that Malia Obama, the daughter of former President Barack Obama, has been recruited to write for one of Glover’s upcoming projects at Amazon, “Hive.”
