Controversial Minneapolis Police Union Chief Accelerates Retirement Plan

Bob Kroll, the outspoken chief of the Minneapolis Federation of Police Officers, said Monday that he plans to retire at the end of the month, citing family reasons.

Kroll, who said in a letter announcing his retirement to union members who had served in the city’s police force for 32 years, advanced initial plans to retire in May.
