Just 10 days after announcing that he would run for governor of the state of California, Chamath Palihapitiya, a former billionaire advocate and investor, walked away from the idea on a February 2 episode of The All In Podcast. Palihapitiya, who began investing in Bitcoin in 2012, has been a vocal critic of current California Governor Gavin Newsom, tweeting the hashtag, “#RecallGavinNewsom” on January 26.
